What is the process for getting a tree removed?
When the street department receives a request for a tree removal, the Street Superintendent will inspect the tree for any visual signs of decline or any impending issues that would warrant removal due to safety issues. If the tree is not an immediate threat to property or people, the tree is placed on a list to be inspected by a certified arborist.

The arborist will conduct a thorough inspection and determine whether the tree in fact should be removed or will recommend a course of action to take with the tree.

Only trees that are dead, dying, or pose an immediate danger to life or property will be removed. The city does not remove live trees
