[ARCHIVED] Historic Jones House to Open May 4th

Jones House

The Jones House, the oldest brick home extant in Pontiac, will be open Sat. May 4 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM as part of the Red Carpet Corridor Festival. The home is a fully restored masterpiece with period furniture appropriate to the home. The home was built in 1857-1958 and is located at 314 East Madison Street. Docents will be on hand to guide visitors through the home and provide historical background information. In the past, the Jones House has only been open to the public on rare occasions. The Livingston County Historical Society is making an effort this year to staff the house for visitors more frequently. Admission is free, and donations gratefully accepted.
