Vehicle Burglaries result in the arrest of Pontiac resident

The investigation of numerous early-morning vehicle burglaries on 12/13/12 have resulted in the arrest of twenty-year-old Aaron Harmon of Pontiac.

Citizens from Vermillion Estates and Westview Subdivision began reporting vehicle burglaries shortly before 7:00 am. A total of twenty-three vehicles were allegedly entered. The following vehicles, which were unlocked and parked outside, were burglarized:

Blue 2005 Dodge pickup – 1201 Kennedy Dr.
Red 1994 Buick – 1306 Trainor Drive
Silver 2010 Chevrolet – 1306 Trainor Drive
White 1994 Chevrolet – 1306 Trainor Dr
Red 2003 Ford Focus -#18 Vermillion Est.
Blue 2005 Chrysler van-#16 Vermillion Est
Green 2008 Ford Escape-1205 Kennedy Dr
Silver 2002 Mazda-1213 Kennedy Drive
Black 2003 Chevrolet– 1213 Kennedy Dr.
Red 2000 Chevrolet pickup- 1304 Trainor
Green 2011 GMC – 1207 Kennedy Dr.
Yellow 2007 Pontiac – 1402 Trainor
Blue 2006 Jeep – 1305 4-H Park Road
Red 1994 Cadillac - 1501 Kennedy Drive
Gold 2003 Ford Focus – 1302 Trainor Drive
Gold 1999 Dodge - 1302 Trainor Drive
White 1996 Honda – 1100 Motorola Drive
White 1993 Chevrolet – 1100 Motorola
Silver 2006 Chevrolet – 1113 Motorola Drive
Black 1995 Ford – 1202 Kennedy Drive
Red 2006 Chevrolet – 1202 Kennedy Drive
Gold 2003 Oldsmobile – 1202 Kennedy
Gold 1982 Mercury – 1304 Trainor Drive

A suspect description was provided by two residents. Investigating officers later identified the suspect as Harmon, who resides in Westview Subdivision. A search warrant was executed at Harmon’s residence, where officers located numerous items that had been reported stolen during the burglaries.

Harmon was charged with Burglary from a Motor vehicle and is currently being held at the Livingston County Jail.

The incident is still under investigation by the Pontiac Police Department and Livingston County State’s Attorney’s office. In addition, the Police Department has several items believed to be stolen during the burglaries that has not yet been reported.
