Senior Sergeant James "Bumper" Morgan has decided to retire from the Pontiac Police Department after 32 years of honorable service. James began his service May 21, 1984 at the age of 25. He holds a Bachelor's Degree and has previously retired as a Major from the United States Army Reserve. James was a dedicated officer, always willing to put in the extra effort to accomplish the mission. His career could not be summed up in a short paragraph. We wish him well in his new career. He will be surely missed. An open house will be held in his honor at the Pontiac Police Department training room on Wednesday, April 27th from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Presentation ceremony to begin at 4:00.
