[ARCHIVED] 2nd Annual Trunkin’ Treasure Sale to be held in Downtown Pontiac!

The highly successful Trunkin’ Treasure sale will be held again during the Red Carpet Corridor Festival and the City of Pontiac is excited to announce that registration for the sale is now open. This sale will take place during the Red Carpet Corridor Festival Saturday, May 2nd from 8am-5pm and Sunday, May 3rd from 8am-3pm. The Trunkin’ Treasure sale is being marketed as part of the Kicks on 66 Sale that is being promoted as part of the Red Carpet Corridor Festival this year.

Residents are invited to load up their car, drive downtown, and sell their treasures. Local non-for-profit organizations and churches are also invited to participate in this event. The sale will be held in the parking lot south of the courthouse and Washington St. will also be blocked off.

The Red Carpet Corridor Festival is once again partnering with the Kicks on 66 Sale. The website will have a map of the sales along the ninety mile corridor and is being marketed to a wide audience. Liz Vincent, Tourism Specialist with the city of Pontiac noted that last year’s event was a success for both shoppers and sellers alike. “Some sellers were so successful they sold out of everything they brought and the buyers appreciated the sales being in one convenient location rather than trying to drive all around town looking for sales and missing other parts of the festival,” said Vincent.

Registration is open for the event and is required to participate. Registration is free for local non-profits and individual Livingston County residents participating in the Trunkin’ Treasure. For other vendors and out-of-county participants, there is a $25 registration fee. Space is limited so register today. Registration forms are available at Pontiac City Hall or by contacting Rebecca Black or Liz Vincent at Pontiac Tourism by calling 815-844-5847 or by emailing rebeccamccloud9@gmail.com or liz@muralmuseum.com.
