All classes are held inside the Community Recreation Center at 900 N. Elm Street.  For more information or to register for a class, please stop by the Rec Center or call us at 815-844-6818.

Les Mills Virtual Fitness Classes

Find more information here about Les Mills virtual fitness classes offered inside the rec center's Fitness Theater and Cycle Studio!  Classes offered include: Body Pump (weight-lifting), Body Combat (martial-arts/cardio), Body Balance (yoga/tai chi/pilates), CX Worx (core-training), Sh'Bam (dance/cardio), Born to Move (children's fitness), RPM (HIIT cycling), and Sprint (cycling).

Bounce & Burn (4 Class / 4 Week Session)

This exciting cardio workout helps you sculpt muscles for a lean, toned look.  Set up your Urban Rebounder in either a flat or elevated position to give yourself the best workout!  This low-impact conditioning is easy on your joints and muscles, so you can have a longer workout!

Swiss Ball Body Toning (6 Class / 6 Week Session)

Come work out with Nancy Cortez as she teaches you strengthening and toning exercises on a swiss ball.  Working on your swiss ball will help stabilize muscles to build a stronger foundation.

Water Aerobics (12 Class / 6 Week Session)

This water resistance training class is a high-repetition, high-intensity, total body conditioning system that stretches muscles, strengthens your joints, and pushes lactic acid from your muscles with help from the water while burning calories and toning the whole body.

Total Body Fitness (12 Class / 6 Week Session)

This fitness class is a combination of challenging exercises which includes stability balls, weight training, toning, body weight exercises, step aerobics, kettlebells, and cardio.  Each week will be a variety of exercises targeting every part of the body.  Come join this fun, anything-goes exercise class.  It will get your heart rate up and your sweat rolling.

Silver Sneakers Classic (1 Month Sessions)

Focus on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily life activities in this new fitness class taught by Nancy Cortez.  Participants will use equipment such as hand-held weights, resistance bands, and chairs to complete low-impact training.

Tone It Up (12 Class / 6 Week Session)

Designed for all ages and fitness levels, this class will improve muscle tone, posture, balance, and strength with a workout that employs tools such as lightweight dumbbells, concentrated movements, and your own body's resistance!  Build your strength, stamina, and agility by working from top to bottom - biceps, triceps, chest, back, shoulders, legs, and a special concentration on the midsection.  Come prepared to build your strength, stamina, agility, and a positive outlook on exercise!

Body Toning for Seniors (6 Class / 6 Week Session)

Get the results you want at the speed you desire!  Designed for older adults who would like a slower-paced yet effective workout.  This class will improve muscle tone, posture, balance, and strength with a workout that includes tools such as lightweight dumbbells, concentrated movements, and your own body's resistance.

Cardio Blast (12 Class / 6 Week Session)

Are you tired of the same workouts week after week?  Join Nancy Cortez in this anything-goes, fast-paced, heart-pumping workout.  This class will alternate between kettlebells, circuit training, step aerobics, and more to keep you on your toes and excited to come back for more!

Barre Blast (4 Class / 4 Week Session)

Join Nancy Cortez to challenge yourself with bodyweight training at the barre!   Improve your balance and strength in this dance-inspired fitness class.  This class will help you focus on toning and elongating your muscles - specifically in your legs, arms, and core!
